A longtime resident of Independence and Sugar Creek, Mike has dedicated his life to service, family, and making sure the needs of our communities are met.
That work isn’t always easy - especially in a changing world, where decisions are complex and people don’t always agree. Mike has a record of bringing people together and getting support in Jefferson City for things that matter in our district. He works year-round, meeting with citizens, school leaders, business owners and organizations serving our district.

Community Support
Mike’s supporters include individuals and organizations from across District 20, including labor and public safety unions. They support Mike because he has shown the ability to work with legislators of both political parties to get important things done. Like securing funding for workforce development and road projects in our district, and writing legislation to help attract more manufacturing jobs to our community.
Mike wrote and sponsored legislation that received overwhelming and rare bipartisan support in the Missouri House - including bills that raised awareness of rare pediatric diseases and established a pediatric disease task force to coordinate research initiatives. Both bills passed with just one "no" vote.
